War Horse promo shots
Under the cut are large versions of the promo shots of Benedict Cumberbatch for War Horse. I also have hi-res versions (2250x3000) of all 14 images (pm me if you'd like a zipfile).

this is my favorite of the lot. if you look at the hi-res version, you can actually see the photographer in his pupil.

This is one of his best photo shoots, ever. I think I've had most of these as wallpapers on my phone. His face is perfection in every shot. That fifth one, with the smile, makes me smile every time I see it.

Thanks for sharing the collection!

Thanks for these. I presume this is his real hair? If so, I prefer it to its look now.

I was wondering if that was his real hair (which, I think it is). It suits him perfectly..especially when it's semi messy like that.

His hair color is auburn, more toward brown/chestnut, not ginger. This color was dyed for Victor Frankenstein.

Yes, exactly. Here's his natural color. Certainly reddish, but definitely not as bright.

Is the link for Frankenstein because it's an almost identical hair color? It looks like that in "The Rattigan Enigma too. Also I can't find any info about his hair being dyed for Frankenstein except a comment on an interview.

I must admit my search wasn't very comprehensive as I was interrupted twice by kids. {I have 8}.

Yeah, the photo is a still of Frankenstein:
http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/62808/productions/frankenstein.html

Before he dyed his hair ginger, his color was blonde (dyed for Peter Guillam in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.) The War Horse Promo photoset seems to be shot after he finished the run of Frankenstein in early May 2011, and I know it already makes me look like a stalker (LOL), but I bet anyone has followed Frankenstein and Sherlock filming closely enough last year knew that he did The Rattigan Enigma during the hiatus (probably only a few days; not sure) after finishing up Frankenstein before Sherlock S2 started filming, so, yes, his hairdo still looked like Victor, and then he dyed his hair black again for Sherlock.

Oh, it's just for fun; no one is obligated to know what's his natural color; I just happened to follow his work more closely during that period because of my interests in that play.

Thanks for info. Typing this being watched by my 4 year old who has very red curly hair. I told him what I was doing and why and he now wants to have blond hair {our Family consists of 10 humans and we are all blond but him}. This is all BC's fault!!!

I find it incredibly cool that the photographer can be seen in his pupil - thanks so much for sharing these.

He looks so damn good in casual jackets. I need to start a photo collection of Ben wearing casual jackets and fun t-shirts.
