I really enjoyed this interview for a couple of reasons. Jimmy is a HUGE Sherlock fan and was excited to have Benedict on the show. Benedict is much more relaxed than I've seen him in some of his other recent interviews, even down to what he's wearing. He's still dressed nicely, but it is much more casual than what he wore to Letterman. Most of all, Benedict looks like he's having fun being there (other than when Cumberbitches are mentioned. whenever someone mentions that, he looks like he just stepped on a Lego barefoot.).

Benedict Cumberbatch to Star in Del Toro’s ‘Crimson Peak’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Helmer Guillermo del Toro is assembling quite the guest list for his haunted house thriller “Crimson Peak,” with Benedict Cumberbatch set to star in the Legendary Pictures movie.

Cumberbatch would join Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam.

Plot details are unknown as del Toro and Lucinda Coxon work through a rewrite on a script del Toro and Matthew Robins originally penned.

Legendary will produce and be a participating financing partner on the movie, with Universal Pictures retaining an option to finance at a later date. The film is set to begin shooting in February.

It’s another major part for Cumberbatch, whose schedule has been packed of late.

Among his roles this year: “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “12 Years a Slave,” “August: Osage County” and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” He is currently filming “The Fifth Estate” where he will play WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. He’s also busy with TV work with the third season of the BBC’s “Sherlock” about to go into production and HBO’s “Parade’s End,” which bowed in February.

Cumberbatch is repped by UTA and Conway van Gelder Grant.

As you're probably all aware the comm has been increasingly overrun with spam lately. Judging by the numerous notifications I'm getting from elsewhere on LJ this is a site wide problem and for some reason we're just being hit particularly badly.

I've activated spam protection and I've reported and deleted any spam comments I've found but I'm afraid I really don't have the time to go through the entire comm. If you get any spam comments please report them, as that's all we can really do.

Spam protection should stop you getting notifications of spam comments as it sets any suspicious comments in to a section only for the mods to approve. The downside to this is that occasionally legitimate comments from members can fall into the spam protection, primarily because they contain a link and this has caused quite a problem in the past.

If you submit a comment and it is hidden please contact a mod which a link to the entry you are commenting on and we will try to approve your comment asap.

Thanks for bearing with your missing mods lately, we haven't abandoned LJ but we are both months away from the end of our university courses and we both have jobs as well - we're extremely busy. We can only apologise.
